Would you benefit from working with a financial advisor?

  • You recognize the need for knowledgeable, professional guidance.
  • You want to preserve and grow your wealth using tax-efficient and low-cost investment solutions.
  • You want the objective advice and investment opportunities without some of the conflicts of interest most advisors have because of their fee structure.
  • You recognize paying a percentage fee based on the investment assets you have is not a fair representation of the value received from an advisor.

Getting Started

Getting started is as simple as having a conversation. From there, we will understand your goals and develop a personalized financial plan to help meet them. We do this all for a flat fee with the goal of minimizing your costs and what you pay to Uncle Sam.

You were looking for something different, something better from your advisor. You’ve found it here.

Do you know how much you currently pay in fees?

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Fiduciary Standard?

The fiduciary standard is the cornerstone of financial planning. This requires transparent advice, objective recommendations, and strategies personal to your financial plan. Simply put, it requires us to put your interests ahead of our own.

What does Flat Fee really mean?

We don't charge a percentage fee based upon how much you have. Our flat fee is based on the time, resources, and value we provide you through the planning work required.

Why dollars and not percentages?

We believe it’s unfair to pay more simply because you’re worth more. That’s what a percentage-based fee does. Our flat, fixed-dollar fee reflects our work, not your net worth.

Do you charge a commission?

No. We don’t receive compensation for the sale of securities, insurance products, or other investments.

Do you charge performance-based fees?

No. Performance-based compensation may create an incentive for advisors to recommend riskier investments.

Are there hidden costs?

No. We don’t pay referral fees to third parties, participate in wrap-fee programs, or charge any fees beyond our Financial Planning Agreement.

How is PDS different than other financial planners?

We are a fee-only advisor who charges a flat fee for the services provided. We believe our flat fee model presents fewer conflicts of interest than other advisor fee models. The advice PDS gives clients is not influenced by any product being recommended, how much you have invested, where those funds are invested, or any change made to the amount invested.

What should you look for in a high-net-worth financial advisor?

Your high-net-worth financial advisor should seek to foster a long-term partnership built on trust and unwavering dedication to your financial success. At PDS, we prioritize personalized financial plans over product sales, employing flat fees to ensure complete transparency. Our team of knowledgeable and credentialed professionals embraces the fiduciary standard, offering comprehensive guidance across all aspects of your financial journey.

Who is an ideal client for PDS Planning?

We work best with individuals who recognize the need for knowledgeable, objective, and professional guidance to preserve and grow their wealth. Our ideal clients are typically within 15 years of retirement, have an investment portfolio of $2M+ and understand paying a percentage fee based on the amount of investable assets is not a fair representation of the value received from an advisor.

How will we work together?

At PDS, it starts with a casual, yet informative conversation. Following our conversation, we will prepare an outline of services that we believe would be beneficial for you along with an estimate of cost. Upon an agreement to work together, we will collaborate to build a unique financial plan to address your key concerns and provide specific recommendations to help you accomplish your goals. We will assist you in implementing those recommendations and maintain proactive communication with you through phone, email, and periodic review meetings.

Do I need an advisor?

Whether you need an advisor or not depends on a variety of factors. Some factors include the complexity of your finances, how comfortable you are managing your investments, where you are in your life financially, and where you’d like to be. A good financial advisor can be a great asset in helping you meet your financial goals. However, a financial advisor who is not a good fit for you can cost you valuable time and money. It is essential to regularly evaluate the quality of service and advice you receive from your advisor.

We are happy you found PDS Planning. Our goal is to help you feel secure in your financial future so you can retire comfortably.
