Behind the Scenes at PDS Planning
When first walking through the glass doors of the PDS Planning office, you’re immediately greeted with unique artwork, refreshing décor, and of course, smiling faces.
Though many would immediately assume this eye-catching space was perfectly pieced together with the help of an IKEA or Arhaus shopping list, the reality of it is, the PDS team (or family members of the PDS team) literally made the space their own.
From the distinctive paintings, the hexagon wood panels and faux-living wall, each piece was crafted from the creative hands of the PDS family to create a space that invites you in with its modern soft realism and amiable presence. Rita Itsell, Managing Principal, acknowledges, “We want it to feel like you are entering a space where you can relax with an old friend, not your stuffy old financial advisor.”
We think the use of organic elements helps the space feel natural, reduces anxiety, and allows our clients to feel more comfortable. Notes, Rita, “This relaxed environment leads our financial discussions to more productive outcomes – of course, a little laughter on the side helps too!”
Moving on to what looks like a lounge area just pulled from a magazine, we call this room the “Tree House”. With its plants, colorful furniture and large windows to let in natural light, it offers a comfortable place to step away and relax for a few minutes.
Recently our team came together for an office photo shoot, the uniqueness of both the office space and the camaraderie among the team stood out. From these behind the scenes clips, it’s obvious that these smiles weren’t just coerced for picture day, but are genuine grins. A good reminder that great things in business are not done by one person alone, but by a team of people committed to a shared mission.
