A few years ago, PDS Planning had the opportunity to volunteer at The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio through their Team Cuisine program. Making and serving breakfast as a team at the nation’s second largest RMHC was inspiring, to say the least! On behalf of the whole PDS team, Jamie Menges, CFP®, CPA, Principal, says, “We are humbled to have the opportunity to serve such a worthy cause.”
As a result of that initial experience, our team decided that the PDS CARES foundation would support RMHC on an ongoing basis. From purchasing supplies and packing “to go food kits” to additional volunteerism in the RMHC kitchen to now being a sponsor of their annual golf outing, our team at PDS loves to support RMHC in a variety of ways.
Following a hiatus from being able to serve at the House due to COVID-19, we are thrilled to be back on site helping out! Our team’s onsite volunteerism is typically spearheaded by Kurt Brown and Laurie Licata who recruit volunteers and organize our day at the House. “As a volunteer, it has been such an honor to help prepare meals and serve the families who are seeing their way through challenging times. The love and care to families with ill children that RMHC provides is incredible, and stands as a testament to the empathy of our community.”
