PDS CARES Supports The Dublin Food Pantry

Founded in 2015, PDS CARES is a charitable fund with the Columbus Foundation that puts into action our commitment to a mission of giving. PDS Planning “is committed to giving back to the communities we live and work in” explains Shareholder and Wealth Manager, Jamie Menges, CFP®, CPA.

The fund is used to match employees’ charitable gifts by providing each team member with a pool of money with which to make discretionary gifts, as well as allowing the company to make gifts to the community. Through December 2021, the company had pledged over $116,000 of contributions while giving more than $60,000 to 100+ local charities.

We are pleased to share that through PDS CARES we are supporting the Dublin Food Pantry and its capital campaign to purchase and renovate a new home for the pantry. The goal of the  Everyone Eats Here campaign is to create a new and much larger home for the Food Pantry as well as to raise funds for operational expenses associated with the move for the next few years.

The Dublin Food Pantry has been connecting our neighbors in the Dublin community with food, essentials, and resources for more than 46 years, and the need is greater than ever. Currently serving an average of 2,500 individuals per month at the Pantry, this represents a 92% increase in the number of Dublin neighbors being served since 2019. Moreover, 37% of those individuals were children.

And, consider,  the Dublin Food Pantry believes that only about 25% of people who are in need of its services are actually being served.

We hope you will join us in supporting this movement to help the Dublin Food Pantry #FeedDublin.
