Last night, PDS CARES, the charitable foundation of PDS Planning, Inc. hosted Wayne Campbell of Tyler’s Light and Commander Gary Cameron of the Columbus Police Department at the Longaberger Alumni House on OSU’s campus to discuss the opiate epidemic we are faced with here in central Ohio. Everyone who attended came away with a better sense of how serious this problem is, signs to look for in those who might be using, resources available to help those who are addicted, and most importantly, ways to help our respective families, friends, neighbors, communities get in front of the problem. As Wayne says, “Speak up, save a life.” Take a moment to visit their site and watch some of the videos of those who have been affected by this. You will certainly gain a better understanding of our challenges, and may be surprised to see people affected by this who look just like the everyday people in your community.

For his time and inspiring message, PDS CARES made a $2,500 contribution to Tyler’s Light. After all, we’re in this for good.
